TOD 'Down South' ULI Colorado Explorer Series
Explorer Series: TOD 'Down South'
In 2006, the $1.7 billion T-REX project added 19 miles of light rail to metro Denver, serving some of the region’s most vibrant business centers and wealthiest zip codes. Come for this update on Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) progress in the corridor featuring innovative new projects, presentations from leading developers and their teams, and tasty vittles at a reception at District 475, the heart of the new restaurant/arts district at the award-winning Vallagio at Dry Creek Station.
FEATURED SITES:
The Apartments at Yale Station. A joint venture between Koelbel & Co. and Mile High Development, this new six-story, 50-unit affordable residential building replaces a gas station. Sixty percent leased at the time of its July 2011 opening, the Apartments are being marketed to long-time south Denver residents who are ready to leave their single-family homes but don’t want to leave the area.
Vallagio at Inverness. Recently voted the Denver region’s best Live-Work-Play neighborhood in a DRCOG poll, Vallagio consists of lofts, flats, villas, an entire district of independent “foodie” restaurants, an art space, a covered pedestrian bridge connection to RTD’s Dry Creek Station and, somewhat unique among TODs, the option for living on a golf course.
Y’all come!
